A soul-stirring experience I'll carry forever!
El Salvador delivered everything — and then some. SwellWomen created the kind of retreat that resets you from the inside out. Between sacred energy healing sessions, daily yoga, and some of the most consistent, beautiful waves I've ever surfed, every single day felt like a gift.
SwellWomen partnered with Puro Surf's academy in El Zonte. The instructors were genuinely next-level — talented, encouraging, and so clearly in love with what they do. We had our pick of breaks, and each session in the water felt both exhilarating and deeply nourishing.
But honestly? It's the humans that made this trip. The women I shared this space with — the meals, the waves, the laughter, the vulnerability — I am so deeply grateful for each one of them. There's something powerful about being in the ocean with a group of women who show up fully for themselves and for each other.
I left with salt in my hair, joy in my chest, and a full heart. If you're thinking about going — go. You won't just have a surf trip. You'll have an experience that stays with you for a lifetime.

I came to SwellWomen for the first time with a packed mind and zero expectations — I just needed someone to handle the details. I wanted to surf and wasn't expecting to do much more outside of surfing. But Lulu gave me that and so much more.
From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely at ease. Everything was thoughtfully organized, and I never once had to wonder what was next or stress about logistics. I felt empowered to focus on myself and what I wanted to gain from the week. But what really stood out was Lulu herself — her warmth is genuine, her attention is personal, and she has a real gift for making every person feel seen and cared for.
She also has this quiet way of opening you up. I tried things I wouldn't have otherwise, pushed past my own hesitations, and came away feeling grounded, relaxed, and genuinely inspired — all at the same time. I didn't expect to leave with that kind of mental clarity alongside the surf progress, but Lulu creates an environment where both just happen naturally.
I look forward to many more SwellWomen trips in the future!!

When I decided to go on my 1st SwellWomen retreat to Bali I knew that it would be fun & exciting, however, I had no idea that it would be a life changing experience and the catalyst for me to become someone I always wanted to be. Lulu is an extraordinary woman with a gift for uplifting and supporting others to become the highest version of themselves. She takes care of all the details too, so as soon as you step off the plane you can be stress free. I’m looking forward to going on more SwellWomen retreats, it’s the best gift I can give to myself.

This is my 9th SwellWomen trip in under 9 years. I keep coming back to SwellWomen because I love the locations, the accommodations, the camaraderie and ultimately the friendships that are developed during each adventure! Lulu and her crew always ensure that her guests every need is taken care of. I would heartily recommend that everyone try one (or nine) of her retreats!

This is my 7th Swell Women retreat and hopefully not my last. The owner of Swell Women continues to change with the times and add more interesting locations and offerings along with surfing.
